Collaborate?

The Knowledge Centre Data & Society regularly collaborates with stakeholders. We welcome suggestions on specific themes or topics where our involvement could be valuable. Do you have a concrete idea, or would you like to brainstorm with us? Don’t hesitate to get in touch!

The Knowledge Centre aims to support all stakeholders, on the condition that the output produced is reusable across sectors and policy domains. Any request that may have policy-related implications will be reported to our funding authority prior to being addressed.

As we are not able to respond to every individual request, we have developed the following procedure to determine whether support can be provided.

  1. Step 1: Alignment with our mandate
We first assess whether the request aligns with our core mission. In doing so, we consider whether we possess the necessary expertise on the issue and whether the topic falls within our remit. If not, we will unfortunately have to decline the request.
  2. Step 2: Public value and reusability
We also consider whether the request concerns individualised advice. The Centre applies the principle of reusability and publishability: even in the case of ad hoc support or advice, our response must be broadly reusable and publishable for the relevant sectors and/or policy domains of our stakeholders.
  3. Step 3: Practical considerations
    Other important aspects include:
    • Is a reasonable timeframe provided for the requested support?
If we are given fewer than five working days to prepare a response, we will not be able to accommodate the request.
    • What is the current workload at the centre?
If other commitments prevent us from dedicating sufficient time to a request, the Centre reserves the right to decline.

Based on these steps, the Knowledge Centre Data & Society determines whether support can be offered. We strive to inform the requester within ten working days whether we can take up the request.
