Call for experts: Help us reviewing model clauses for article 25(4) of the EU AI Act

As part of the implementation of the EU AI Act, the Knowledge Centre Data & Society is organising a policy prototyping exercise focused on article 25(4). This article governs written agreements between providers of high-risk AI systems and third parties supplying tools, services, components or processes. We're looking for experts to review these clauses and provide input on their wording. The objective of the prototyping exercise is to develop practical contractual clauses that can serve as a template for implementing Article 25(4) AI Act.

We are seeking experts with expertise in one or more of the following domains:

  • Artificial intelligence;
  • IT law and contract law;
  • Intellectual property rights;
  • Data protection;

Role of experts

As an expert, you will be asked to:

  • Critically review the developed clauses;
  • Provide feedback from your area of expertise
  • Suggest practical improvements;
  • Identify any legal risks or ambiguities.
     

Practical details

  • Clauses will be made available in English;
  • Interviews may take place both in person and online;
  • Time investment: approximately 3 hours (2 hours for preparing/reviewing clauses and 1 hour for the interview);
  • Timeline: the interviews will take place in March 2026.
