AI Act and law

The European AI Act is an important legal framework for AI applications, but a lot of other legislation is also relevant in the context of AI. For instance, for data-driven and AI applications, the GDPR, copyright, and the Digital Services Act are also potentially of great importance. In addition, more traditional legal frameworks also play a role in the responsible development and implementation of AI, for example, consumer protection and contract law.

(NL) Event: How well do you know the AI B C? AI literacy in organisations

A year ago, AI literacy became mandatory under Article 4 of the EU AI Act. Many organisations see this as an additional rule. We do not! We see it as a lever to make your organisation AI-mature. Because your AI maturity will determine whether AI is a cost item or creates real value for your operations, revenue and teams. On Thursday 26 March, the Knowledge Centre Data & Society and the Flandres AI Academy (VAIA) invite you to Brussels to explore the obligation of AI literacy in more depth.
