Council of Europe - Guidelines on Facial Recognition
The Council of Europe has established guidelines for facial recognition technology. The guidelines have been drafted for public and private bodies, as well as for developers, manufacturers and service providers of facial recognition. According to the Council, the guidelines should ensure that technologies do not violate human dignity, human rights and fundamental freedoms of individuals, including the right to protection of personal data.
