AI literacy is high on the agenda, also within the Knowledge Centre Data & Society. That is why, this spring, we are placing a strong focus on this theme, including a series of Learning Community sessions specifically dedicated to the topic.

In this first (online) meet-up, we are welcoming two guest speakers. Evy Bawin (BIPT) will take a closer look at the obligations relating to AI literacy and the latest developments in this area in light of the Digital Omnibus. Tessa Acar (Digitaal Vlaanderen) will then delve into the AI literacy framework developed by the Flemish Government in collaboration with UNESCO. She will explain how this framework serves as a practical tool for both HR professionals and employees to promote AI literacy within the Flemish Government.

This event is the first in a series of meetings focused on AI literacy. More information will follow shortly.

Who is this Learning Community for?

The Learning Community 'AI and ethics in practice' focuses specifically on the application of ethics and social issues in the context of the development, implementation and use of data and AI applications. We therefore focus specifically on professionals who are in practice, in their daily work, dealing with the ethical issues surrounding data & AI.

During the meet-up, we stimulate the sharing of knowledge, experiences, best practices and questions between ethics officers, digital ethicists, AI ethics officers, and other professionals who are either directly or indirectly concerned with the subject.
