Policy monitor update: The AI Act, AI liability regulation and transatlantic AI policy initiatives

On Friday 25 November (12-13h), the Knowledge Centre Data & Society is hosting a new policy monitor update. During this webinar, we invite four speakers to discuss a number of key topics in AI regulation. Nathan Duhayon (European Parliament, Assistant to MEP Tom Vandenkendelaere) will give us an update on the latest state of affairs of the AI Act in the European Parliament. Next, David Scheere (Attaché at the Permanent Representation of Belgium at the EU - Flemish Government, Department EWI) will provide an update on the latest compromise text of the Council of the EU. Jan De Bruyne (KDS/CiTiP) will discuss new EU policy initiatives on AI liability and lastly, Wannes Ooms (KDS/CiTiP) will present the United States' AI Bill of Rights and Canada's AI and Data Act.
