Training course – Responsible innovation with AI and data: legal frameworks

In this English training course, you will receive an overview of legislation and policy measures that, now and in the future, apply to AI- and data driven applications. We discuss the upcoming AI act and the relevance of other legislation such as GDPR, contract law and intellectual property rights.
Are discussed, among other things:
- An overview of relevant regulation around AI, both current and in development, including the EU AI Act and the GDPR.
- A selection of topical policy initiatives around, for example, the use of generative AI
- Instruments for experimentation and preparation.
This course is recognised by the Orde van Vlaamse Balies for 6 course points.

- Get inspired about policy initiatives to further develop this topic at the level of regulation and other policies.
- At the end of the course, you will know which legal frameworks may be relevant for your organization.

This course on legal aspects of responsible innovation is part of the training program “Responsible Innovation with AI and data: from policy to practice". In three practical training courses you can learn all you need about ethical, legal and social aspects of data- and AI-innovation. You can follow all training courses for wide and in-depth knowledge or follow specific training courses for targeted insights.
Overview training courses:
- Day 2 (03/10, in Dutch): Ethical Considerations (organisational level): explore the different steps you can take to strengthen and develop your organization on the ethical level and receive the necessary tools to achieve this in your own organization.
- Day 3 (17/10, in Dutch): Practical Instruments (project level): You will learn practical instruments to manage AI and data driven innovation and discover how these instruments can be used in your project.
