A new website highlighting key themes

The Knowledge Centre Data & Society has launched a completely revamped website with a fresh look. A modern design, clear structure and user-friendly navigation help you find information and resources on the ethical, legal and societal aspects of data applications and artificial intelligence.

A knowledge platform tailored to visitors

Since it was founded in 2019, the Knowledge Centre has played a central role in the Flemish ecosystem on data and AI innovation. Over the years, the number of publications, tools, events and policy recommendations has steadily grown, as have the requests for collaboration, alignment and information sharing. This has led to a clearer definition of the Knowledge Centre’s focus areas. To better showcase these and make the available information more accessible, the website has been completely redesigned.

The new website organises content around several key themes:

  • Ethics in practice: practical support for working on AI innovations in a responsible way.
  • Workfloor: successful implementation of data and AI innovations in the workplace, focusing on the employees.
  • AI Act and law: relevant legal frameworks involved in the responsible development and use of AI.
  • Smart cities: developing data-driven urban policies that are centred on citizens.
  • AI in Flanders: updates on how people in Flanders perceive AI in society.
  • Policy monitor: concise summaries of policy initiatives relating to data and AI.
  • Digital inclusion: key considerations and opportunities AI offers in terms of digital inclusion.

These themes allow every visitor – whether a professional, policymaker or interested citizen – to quickly find relevant publications, tools, case studies and events.

Fresh design, clear information
