Generative AI (GenAI) is increasingly being used at work. GenAI is also finding its way within the government. Its accessibility and ease of use make it possible for any government employee, regardless of expertise, to use the potential of GenAI. Although GenAI can support various tasks, such as automating tasks and summarising policies, it requires critical and responsible use.

It is important that government employees have the right skills to use GenAI responsibly, given that the use of the technology can have a direct impact on citizens. In this brAInfood, we explore how government employees deploy GenAI, which systems they use and, how skilled they feel in doing so.
