brAInfood: What happens to your data after your death?

There is all sorts of information about you available in the digital world. From user accounts you once created, to photos you saved in an album on your smartphone.

But what happens with this data after you pass away? The equipment will go to your next of kin, but where does your data go? With many accounts such as Google, Microsoft or Apple, you are only the user and not the owner. No one can access this after your death.

In this brAInfood, we use a comic strip, in which Maud plays the leading role, to tell you how you can ensure that your next of kin can access your data more easily, if you wish, of course.

With brAInfood, the Knowledge Centre Data & Society wants to provide easily accessible information about artificial intelligence. brAInfood is available under a CC BY 4.0 license, which means that you can reuse and remix this material, provided that you credit us as the source.
