European Commission - Proposal for a Regulation laying down harmonised rules on artificial intelligence
This legislative proposal aims to make the European Union the first region in the world with specific rules for AI. The basic idea of the proposal is that people and society should be at the centre of the development, provision and use of AI in Europe. The proposal includes a ban on AI practices deemed contrary to EU values and fundamental rights, and a comprehensive chapter on high-risk AI systems.
