brAInfood: How is the AI lifecycle regulated?

Date of publication: January 2024

Several regulatory regimes apply to developers during the lifecycle of an AI system. In this brAInfood, we highlight various regulatory regimes which should be taken into account at different stages of the lifecycle of an AI system. We only highlight the regimes that we consider to be highly relevant, so this is not an exhaustive list.

In this brAInfood you can find for every phase of the AI lifecycle (design, develop, deploy) the most relevant focus points from:

  • Contract law
  • The AI Act
  • Data protection
  • and other regulation (including intellectual property and consumer protection)

With brAInfood, the Knowledge Centre Data & Society wants to provide easily accessible information about artificial intelligence. brAInfood is available under a CC BY 4.0 license, which means that you can reuse and remix this material, provided that you credit us as the source.
