US - Responsible AI Guidelines in Practice
The Defense Innovation Unit, part of the US Department of Defense, has promulgated guidelines for responsible AI. These guidelines apply to suppliers of AI products or services to the US military. The guidelines provide a step-by-step process for companies to follow when planning, developing and implementing AI systems. They establish procedures to determine who might use the technology, who might be harmed by it, what that harm might be and how to prevent it - both prior to the creation of the system and once it is operational.
