Good intentions, unintended consequences? How the Proposal for the AI Act might kick innovation out of the EU

A new proposal for the AI Act introduces technology-oriented due diligence and compliance requirements for AI systems. It also bans some of them. In this way, it risks limiting AI systems’ innovation and migration of innovators outside of the EU.
